My First Blog Ever!
Hello and Welcome!
SO, this is my first post on my blog and the start of an amazing journey!
This marks the beginning of the next chapter in my life and I am really excited to be able to share it with you.
I have created this space for multiple reasons, a couple of them being that I want to document my progress with learning to sew, crochet and craft. Although I do have a little bit of experience already with crochet and craft, I have only recently bought my very first sewing machine. I am teaching myself, with the help from my friend and her wonderful books, videos, scrap fabrics and handy tips and help. She has been a blessing.
After speaking with my friend about her first projects, I thought to myself, it would be awesome to have some where to document and keep track of how much the quality of my work changes whilst I delve into this new world. I thought it would also be great to see where I struggled the most and what I found easy.
Why choose the blog? I know, I could just keep a personal journal. But… that would have not helped with my other reasons for starting this.
I want to share this journey with other crafty, sewing people and hopefully inspire and encourage people to never give up and have a go at something new.
I want to also show people that we all start some where and all as beginners. That not only pertains to crafting it is with any thing in life. Not one person starts something as an expert and not one person can say they didn’t struggle at some points and make mistakes. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses and it is great to acknowledge and accept them. My promise to you all is to show you every part of my journey. The good, the bad and the ugly. Trust me, there will be plenty of each. I do not want this blog to be about how great I am and hide from you the parts I struggle with and don’t do well, it would defeat the purpose of what I just said.
I also hope to interact with people. I struggle in social situations and find it hard to speak to people in person. I thought this blog would be the better option for me, as I would feel more comfortable to express my self without the fear of awkward encounters and not getting out what I truly want to say.
SO please, feel free to look around, I don’t have much on my page at the moment, but in the next few days I am hoping to post some past and recent projects that I have created to get started. I am hoping you have stopped at my home page and become acquainted with Mr Snowy the Snowman? I created him last Christmas to live out the front with our light display each year. I love every thing Christmas, so you will see a lot of Christmas crafts on my page. Along with many different things, I promise.
If you would like to keep track of my progress and join in on this journey, like my facebook and instagram page. As I said before there won’t be much on it at the moment but I promise there will be lots more to come.
